The Busecker Schloss stands on the site of a medieval moated castle north of the old village centre of Buseck, in Hesse. The present building, remodelled in neo-Gothic style in the 19th century, still contains the barrel-vaulted cellars of the earlier stronghold, first documented in 1458. The dried-up moats that once surrounded the fortress can still be traced around the surrounding park. The building now houses the local municipal offices and functions as a focal point of community life in Buseck.
