Schloss Gleina stands in Gleina (Burgenlandkreis), in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Gleina is a Baroque residence built between 1689 and 1739 for the master huntsman Hans Dietrich von Geißmar, likely to designs by the Leipzig engineer Dörffler. Its horseshoe-shaped, two-storey layout under a steep mansard roof encloses rooms decorated with Rococo stucco work and a library with a timber-beamed ceiling and panelled walls. Owned by the von Helldorf family until 1945 and later run as a retirement home under the administration of Saxony-Anhalt, the estate has since 2013 belonged to a Swiss sociologist who opened it to cultural initiatives, including an art biennale held every two years. The adjoining landscape park still holds fragments of Baroque sculpture and a wrought-iron park gate.
What to know

- An art biennale bringing together international artists takes place every two years.
- The adjoining landscape park, accessible depending on current activities, still contains remnants of Baroque sculpture and a wrought-iron gate.
