Schloss Absberg is a baroque château built by the Teutonic Order on the site of an older fortress belonging to the lords of Absberg, which burned down in the 16th century and was eventually demolished in 1652. The present building, raised between 1723 and 1726 as the seat of a bailiwick, has three wings across three storeys, with a façade marked by projecting bays, pilasters and corner pavilions. Inside are stucco decorations and painted ceilings, along with a chapel from 1777 that became the Catholic parish church of St Ottilia in 1834. Since 1909 the château has housed a facility for people with disabilities run by the Regens Wagner foundation.
