To make a day of it

Ruine Ringelstein stands in Ringingen (Zollernalbkreis), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The Ruine Ringelstein, also known as Aloisschlössle, stands on a rock outcrop above the Bucktal valley near Ringingen in the Zollernalbkreis. Rather than a large fortified complex, it consists of the remains of a single residential tower built by the lords of Ringelstein between the late 12th and late 14th centuries. Surviving walls trace an irregular five-sided plan of roughly seven by ten metres, cut off from the hillside by a rock-hewn ditch. The ruin can only be reached on foot, following a wooded trail.
