To make a day of it
Weitenburg stands in Starzach (Landkreis Tübingen), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Weitenburg stands above the Neckar valley between Börstingen and Sulzau, in the municipality of Starzach. A fortified structure already occupied the site in 1062, but the building seen today took shape through successive building phases spanning the Renaissance to the Neo-Gothic period. Its main block, known as the Ehingerbau, dates from 1585, while the two side wings and the ornate entrance gate bearing the initials QVH were added in the mid-17th century by Quirin von Hönstett. The east wing was later reworked in Neo-Gothic style during the 19th century.
