To make a day of it
Burg Haigerloch stands in Haigerloch (Zollernalbkreis), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Burg Haigerloch, commonly known as the Römerturm, survives today only as a square keep standing on a narrow rocky spur above the Eyach river, in the upper town of Haigerloch. Despite its name, the tower has nothing to do with Roman times: it is a Romanesque structure from the early Middle Ages. Converted in the 18th century into a bell tower for a church that no longer exists, it can now be climbed as a viewing tower following its restoration.
