To make a day of it

Kronenburg (Dossenheim) stands in Dossenheim (Rhein-Neckar-Kreis), in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. No visits are on record for this building.

The Kronenburg is the name given to the remains of a multi-part hillfort perched on a spur above Dossenheim, in the Odenwald hills. No historical document ever mentions this stronghold, and its current name actually stems from a mistaken identification made in the mid-19th century by a local pastor. The site consists of several separate enclosures divided by ditches, along with a nearby earthwork thought to be a siege position. Visitors mainly find foundation traces, earthen ramparts and scattered stones, now largely overtaken by forest.
