The Burgstall Muschenheim marks the site of a former moated castle, long since vanished, on the edge of Muschenheim, a district of Lich. All that survives is a vaulted cellar, the only visible remnant of the stronghold that once stood in this meadow near the Wetter river. The cellar is privately owned and sits along the Hessengasse, in front of an outbuilding of the neighbouring house. Visitors should expect no standing walls or tower, only this stone chamber, preserved for its historical value.
