The Burgstall Edelburg, also known locally as Hodlenburg, marks the remains of a small vanished hilltop fortification at 510 metres above sea level, northwest of Gärtringen. All that remains today is a mound and a circular ditch about four metres deep, surrounding a roughly twenty-metre-wide platform where rubble heaps and traces of walls can still be seen. The stronghold is thought to have watched over a nearby road before being abandoned, probably in the 16th century.
