Burg Triptis stands in Triptis (Saale-Orla-Kreis), in Thuringia, Germany. Recorded dating: 13th century. No visits are on record for this building.

The Burg Triptis stands near the center of the town of Triptis, in the Saale-Orla-Kreis district of Thuringia. Of this former lowland stronghold, built to guard the trade routes between Saalfeld and Gera, and between Nuremberg and Leipzig, only the keep and a few wall fragments embedded in neighboring buildings remain today. The surviving tower, whose origins local tradition traces back long before its first written mention in 1212, is a remnant of a defensive network that once included several similar towers in the area.
