To make a day of it

Burg Noithausen stands in Grevenbroich (Rhein-Kreis Neuss), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. No visits are on record for this building.

Burg Noithausen survives today as a single remnant in the Noithausen district of Grevenbroich: a baroque brick gateway, framed with trachyte blocks, that once opened onto the outer bailey. The site dates back to the 13th century, built by the knight Wilhelm von Hochstaden and later held as a fief of the Teutonic Order after 1320. The former moated complex included a three-storey manor house flanked by two square towers, but the buildings were demolished in 1962. Only this round-arched gateway still stands as a trace of the old estate.
