To make a day of it
Schloss Liedberg stands in Korschenbroich (Rhein-Kreis Neuss), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The building is a listed Baudenkmal. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Schloss Liedberg stands on the eastern rise of the village of the same name near Korschenbroich, on a fortified site whose foundations are thought to date back to the 11th century. Once a stronghold of the archbishops of Cologne, the building endured sieges and destruction before being rebuilt in the 17th century, which gave it its present baroque character. Visitors can see an imposing 14th century keep topped with a bulbous roof, along with the adjoining St George's chapel, later turned into the village parish church. Restoration work carried out since 2008 has reconstructed sections destroyed during the Second World War.
