The Burg Neublankenheim stands as a ruin on a hilltop in the Eifel region, right next to the border with North Rhine-Westphalia. Its enclosing walls survive over several storeys, and the keep, roughly 24 metres high, still rises at the south-western corner with an unusual semicircular plan. Restoration work carried out in the early 2000s was limited to stabilising the existing masonry against further decay, with no rebuilding involved. The site today is an open ruin without visitor facilities.
