The former stronghold once covered a roughly rectangular area of about 20 by 40 metres, defended by ditches on both the spur side and the plateau side. Gravel quarrying destroyed part of the site up until the 1980s, leaving little masonry to see. A commemorative stone now marks the former castle site.
