Burg Erprath stands in Neuss (Rhein-Kreis Neuss), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Recorded dating: 12th century. No visits are on record for this building.
Burg Erprath survives only as a modest ruin on an artificial mound at the point where the Gillbach meets the Erft, near Weckhoven. Built in the 13th century for the von Erprath family, it later became a territorial stronghold of the Archbishopric of Cologne before being destroyed in 1586 during the Cologne War. What remains today is a four-metre-high mound and a fragment of brick and tuff wall from the former residential tower, cared for by a local heritage association.
