To make a day of it

Schloss Reuschenberg stands in Neuss (Rhein-Kreis Neuss), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

Schloss Reuschenberg stands near the Reuschenberg district of Neuss, still surrounded by the moat that marks its origin as a fortified medieval manor. Records trace the site back to 1284, when it was known as the court of the knights of Selinchein, later taking the name of the von Reuschenberg family and passing through several noble owners, including the Boeselager family, who had the main house largely rebuilt in the mid nineteenth century. The city of Neuss acquired the estate in 1912, together with the adjoining St. Cornelius chapel, and for decades it housed an agricultural home economics school for women. Since 2009 the castle has been in private hands.
