To make a day of it
Burg Botzlar stands in Selm (Kreis Unna), in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Burg Botzlar stands in Selm, in the Kreis Unna, as the remnant of a former moated castle whose medieval origins are largely hidden behind an early 19th-century building. The current structure, a two-storey rubble stone house, likely incorporates the remains of an older keep, still traceable on 19th-century cadastral maps. The site was destroyed more than once during medieval conflicts between the bishops of Münster and the counts of the Marck, later passing through several noble families before being acquired by a local citizens' foundation.
