Visitors can still make out the base of a circular keep over ten metres across, with walls once nearly four metres thick, along with stretches of the wall that overlooked the roads linking Chambéry to Geneva. The site preserves two distinct fortified areas, an upper enclosure around the keep and a lower one where noble families of the region once lived.
