On a wooded hill above Versonnex, the ruins of the château de Crête mark the site of a medieval stronghold rebuilt in the 14th century after an earlier fortress was destroyed. Only two of the original four corner towers remain standing, hidden among the trees, remnants of a rectangular fortification once flanked by towers facing the cardinal points. Owned by the municipality since 2016, the site is reached by a steep path and offers no visitor facilities.
