Le château, qui peut remonter au 15e siècle, est constitué d'un corps de logis rectangulaire avec une tour d'escalier presque au centre de la façade principale. L'ensemble du bâtiment est en calcaire de Ligneyrac, à l'exception de l'escalier en vis réalisé en grès de Collonges. A l'intérieur, plusieurs pièces ont conservé des plafonds aux poutres apparentes et aux intéressantes cheminées (en particulier, la cheminée en pierre du salon avec sa remarquable peinture sur sa hotte et la cheminée en bois du 17e siècle à l'étage).
