Château du Paradis stands in La Croix-en-Touraine (Indre-et-Loire), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century, 18th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.

What the French Ministry of Culture records

Le Paradis formait un fief relevant de la seigneurie des Cartes. Le château fut probablement construit à la fin du 15e siècle ou au début du 16e siècle. Le château se composait alors d'un corps de bâtiment percé de fenêtres accostées de pilastres et tourelle d'escalier saillant sur la façade sud, ainsi que d'une aile en retour d'équerre vers le nord. De cette aile ne subsiste que le mur ouest. En 1767, le Paradis fut acquis par le duc de Choiseul qui fit transformer le château en reconstruisant l'aile orientale sur un plan plus important, et l'aile en retour, prolongée par deux petits pavillons. Puis, le nouveau château fut prolongé au nord et au sud dans la même architecture, à la place de ces deux pavillons. Dans une salle du rez-de-chaussée ont été transférées des boiseries et un plafond peint provenant de l'hôtel Joyeuse d'Amboise, et une cheminée de pierre provenant de Chanteloup. Au nord-est subsiste la fuye du 16e siècle.
