The Château du Lonzat stands north of the village of Marcenat, in the Allier department, surrounded by extensive grounds. The present building, in neo-Gothic style, was erected by the Count of Arfeuilles on the remains of a medieval dwelling dating back to the 12th century and enlarged in the 15th. The site is chiefly remembered as a summer residence used by Philippe Pétain in 1944.
