To make a day of it

Château du Grand Vignoble stands in Eyraud-Crempse-Maurens (Dordogne), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The château du Grand Vignoble stands in the commune of Eyraud-Crempse-Maurens, in the Dordogne, on the highest point of the former village of Saint-Julien-de-Crempse. Only the 17th-century main building remains from the original structure, as the rest was rebuilt in the 1980s when the estate became a hotel and restaurant. A smaller medieval stronghold had occupied the site before being destroyed by the English in the 15th century. An old altar stone from a vanished chapel can still be seen in the courtyard.
