The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 15th century, third quarter of the 16th century, 17th century, third quarter of the 18th century). The château des Radrets stands in Sargé-sur-Braye on a square platform surrounded by wide water-filled moats, an unusually defensive layout for a late medieval residence. Visitors can see projecting caponiers pierced with loopholes, a main house built in the 15th and 16th centuries with a later added wing, and a chapel attached in the 17th century. An old barn with a chestnut-wood roof frame and a square dovecote complete this manorial and farming ensemble, first recorded in 1444.
