Château des Modières stands in Villebret (Allier), in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
The château des Modières stands at Villebret, in the Allier department, a short distance from Néris-les-Bains. Its origins trace back to a seigneurial house of the 12th century, though the building's present appearance owes much to alterations carried out at the end of the 19th century: a porch dating from 1784 flanked by two square towers, wings built in the 17th and 19th centuries, a monumental gate and a rear terrace. The structure bears the mark of the several families who held the estate from the Middle Ages onward.
