What the French Ministry of Culture records

A l'époque protohistorique, un château a été élevé sur un oppidum situé sur une motte à l'intérieur de l'enceinte. En 1304, construction d'une tour fortifiée. Au 16e siècle, le château a connu des transformations importantes alors que l'évêque d'Acq, François de Noailles y résidait. Au 17e siècle, l'édifice est restauré. En 1774, l'aile nord est édifiée. De plan rectangulaire, le château possède une cour d'honneur centrale. Les communs sont installés sur sa face nord. A l'intérieur des faces sud et est, un escalier hélicoïdal donne accès au premier étage. A l'angle des faces nord et ouest se trouve la tour médiévale avec pigeonnier à l'étage.
