Le château est une des plus intéressantes caveries de l'ancien vicomté d'Orthe. Ses constructions les plus anciennes remontent au 12ème siècle avec les bases de la tour hexagonale et du mur de façade. Le logis est refait au 17ème siècle et en partie réaménagé au 18ème siècle. Le château est entouré par un ensemble de bâtiments d'exploitation dont l'organisation autour de deux cours reste inchangée.
