Château de Visigneux stands in Lucenay-l'Évêque (Saône-et-Loire), in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region of France. At Lucenay-l'Évêque, in the Ternin valley, the château de Visigneux combines an older manor house from the 17th-18th centuries with a new residence built in 1885 by architect Ernest Sanson for the Ganay family, who have owned the estate since the late 17th century. The granite building, flanked by round and square towers, borrows 16th-century style for its dormer windows and tall chimneys. Around it, a garden with box-hedge parterres, an orangery, a dovecote and a chapel with a bell-gable complete the estate.
