What the French Ministry of Culture records

Petit château bâti à la fin du 17e siècle sur les fondations d'une ancienne maison forte. L'intérieur a été très modifié : seules subsistent quelques boiseries. La façade sur cour inscrit l'édifice dans le contexte de l'architecture civile des "maisons de plaisance" de la seconde moitié du 17e siècle. Le corps central est isolé des ailes de communs. Au 18e siècle, création d'un clocheton surmontant le fronton et adjonction des deux galeries latérales de liaison. Au début du 18e siècle, le château est doté d'une chapelle, adossée à l'orangerie. En symétrie de cet ensemble se situent les communs (cuisines, buanderie, boulangerie). D'autres communs ne sont pas attenants au château (ancien pressoir, fouloir, rempotoir, pavillons de garde...).
