Château de Senonches stands in Senonches (Eure-et-Loir), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is listed as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 12th century, 16th century, 17th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
In Senonches, on the edge of the Perche forest, the 12th-century keep built by Hugues II de Châteauneuf still overlooks the town, flanked by two residential wings from the 16th and 17th centuries. Its gate tower, built from grison, a local iron-rich stone, remains one of the most striking features of the site. Since 2016, the building has housed an exhibition space dedicated to the forests of the Perche, called Forêt d'Histoires.
