What the French Ministry of Culture records

La construction de l'édifice remonte au 11e siècle pour le donjon et au 12e pour le reste du château. L'édifice actuel est incomplet. Une partie fut rasée sous l'ordre du cardinal de Richelieu, et une autre incendiée à la Révolution.
