To make a day of it

Château de Saint-Martin stands in Landes-le-Gaulois (Loir-et-Cher), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. No visits are on record for this building.

In Landes-le-Gaulois, beside the Cisse river, the building known locally as château Saint-Martin is in fact a former presbytery dating from the 11th century, enlarged over time into a bourgeois residence. The property includes an L-shaped main house of some twenty rooms, a caretaker's house, outbuildings such as a wine press, cellars and a fruit store, and a wooded park of more than five hectares with a long open vista. The cellars still hold the foundations of the parish church that was demolished at the end of the 18th century.
