What the French Ministry of Culture records

Ancienne châtellenie relevant de l'archevêché de Tours. Le château se compose de deux ailes perpendiculaires, en retour d'équerre, limitant la cour d'honneur sur laquelle donne, au nord-est, la façade de l'église. Deux tours cylindriques occupent les angles sud et est du château. L'aile principale est limitée, au nord-est, par une tour carrée du 15e siècle, garnie d'un chemin de ronde avec mâchicoulis. Un bâtiment moderne est contigü à la façade nord-est de cette tour.
