To make a day of it
Château de Rosvilliou stands in Duault (Côtes-d'Armor), in the Bretagne region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 17th century). The building is privately owned and no visits are on record.
The Château de Rosvilliou stands in the commune of Duault, in the Côtes-d'Armor department, in the heart of Kreiz Breizh. Built at the end of the 16th century on the site of a former hunting lodge, it was extended in the 18th century, so that the two building phases are now hard to tell apart. Notable features include a symmetrical layout, a central pavilion topped with a lantern window, a corbelled turret at the rear, and inside, a rampe-sur-rampe staircase. The building has also served as a film location, appearing as an orphanage in the movie Rosalie.
