To make a day of it

Manoir du Rusquec à Saint-Herbot stands in Loqueffret (Finistère), in the Bretagne region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: 16th century, 17th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.

The manor of Rusquec stands on a hilltop overlooking the Ellez river, close to the Saint-Herbot chapel, on a site once known for its fairs and pilgrimage gathering. Built mainly in the 16th century by the du Rusquec family, the property still follows its original layout of three enclosures, running from the kitchen garden in the north down to the orchard, with the main dwelling and its outbuildings in between. Visitors can still see a well, a dovecote, old stone basins, and the remains of the surrounding wall and a later 17th-century wing.
