In Carnoët, in the Côtes-d'Armor, the Locmaria manor forms a complete rural ensemble with its barn, stable, henhouse and seigneurial dwelling, built of schist, sandstone and granite. Left abandoned for years, it has been restored stone by stone since 2008 by its owner, who uses traditional building methods. A wall surrounds the upper and lower courtyards, pierced by two gateways, and excavations on the grounds have uncovered objects ranging from the Paleolithic era to the 16th century. The site also holds an old earthwork, a Gallic stele and a Roman washing fountain.
