Le château de Roquefort fut édifié au 13e ou au début du 14e siècle. Cette forteresse a conservé sa tour-salle, l'essentiel de son enceinte et des bâtiments réutilisés à l'époque classique. Il était en ruines en 1562 lorsque Jeanne d'Albret le donna à la famille de Secondat qui le conserva jusqu'à la fin du 18e siècle.
