Château de Rayssac stands in Rayssac (Tarn), in the Occitanie region of France. No visits are on record for this building.
In Rayssac, in the Tarn department, this château stands on the site of an earlier stronghold known as Castelas, destroyed in the 16th century during the Wars of Religion after a betrayal that delivered it to Huguenot troops. The present building, erected in the 17th century by the de Bayne family, follows a plain quadrangular plan in the Henri IV style, built of dark stone covered in whitewash beneath a slate roof. Three squared towers, their tops cut level with the roofline, stand at the corners, and the interior still holds a long gallery. Faint traces of a coat of arms and a few carved foliage motifs around the windows also remain.
