In Lacaune, in the Tarn department, the château de Calmels displays a gothic-style silhouette resulting from a 19th-century rebuilding carried out by the Naurois family, on the site of an earlier medieval residence. A 16th-century corner tower with a conical roof and ogee-arched openings still stands, and the park holds 15th-century mullioned window fragments rescued from a since-demolished house in Lacaune. Owned by the municipality, the building now combines a music school, administrative offices and a function room.
