Château de Prats stands in Saint-Seurin-de-Prats (Dordogne), in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: second half of the 18th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
The Château de Prats overlooks the Dordogne river on its right bank, facing the Gironde village of Juillac, in the commune of Saint-Seurin-de-Prats. Its south facade, reworked around the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries in a Palladian style, is centred on a portico with four Doric columns topped by a triangular pediment. Visitors can also note the outbuildings with their Mansard roofs, remnants of an earlier dwelling, as well as the Empire-style gates and gateposts lining the riverside road. The estate remains private property, and the château is seen today from the outside.
