What the French Ministry of Culture records
Mentionnée dans un acte de 1273, la seigneurie appartenait à l'époque féodale aux comtes de Comminges. Ouvrage défensif du début du 15e siècle muni de deux enceintes circulaires. Au sud-ouest, l'entrée s'ouvre dans une tour carrée crêtée de mâchicoulis et donne accès de plain pied dans une cour. De cette cour part l'accès à la seconde enceinte, en gravissant un escalier de pierre desservant une seconde terrasse aménagée en jardin. En surplomb de 5 à 6 mètres, se fait l'accès à la cour haute autrefois entourée d'un rempart crénelé. Au logis principal du 15e siècle, a été ajoutée une nouvelle aile au 19e siècle. Au centre, la tour d'escalier mêle éléments renaissants et néo-renaissants. A l'intérieur, deux chambres à alcôves sont tapissées de gypseries 18e. La chapelle s'orne d'un vitrail de Gesta.
