On the banks of the Garonne river, the château de Saint-Martory is a 16th-century Renaissance residence, reworked in the 19th century by architect Ruprich-Robert. Its main building stretches at a right angle to the river, flanked by a large round tower and a pepperpot turret, served by a spiral staircase set into a tower on the facade. The estate, now a private 40-hectare property between woodland and the Pyrenees, hosts events and guest rooms rather than standard individual tours.
