The site, spread across a lord's quarter dominated by a tower still standing over two levels and a large lower enclosure that once held a village, has been the subject of archaeological excavations carried out between 2011 and 2025. These are the ruins, cleared of vegetation and consolidated by volunteers, that visitors encounter today, remnants of one of the major centres of power in the medieval Haut Comminges.
