To make a day of it
Château de Pont-Chevron stands in Ouzouer-sur-Trézée (Loiret), in the Centre-Val de Loire region of France. The building is registered as a historic monument (dating recorded in the Mérimée database: fourth quarter of the 19th century). Its opening hours and prices have not been verified at the source yet.
Pont-Chevron Castle stands on the site of a former medieval fortress, of which a two-arched stone bridge remains. In the late 19th century, architects Coulomb and Chauvet built between 1896 and 1900 a castle with an elongated plan and an oval rotunda to the north. The ensemble combines careful architecture, facades decorated with sculpted pediments and an interior of studied refinement, particularly the entrance hall and dining room in Belle Époque style.
