What the French Ministry of Culture records

Château à l'origine féodal cantonné de quatre tours avec sa chapelle aux abords immédiats. L'aspect primitif a été modifié par percement de meneaux, arasement d'une tour à la Révolution, et percements au 18e siècle. Il s'agit d'un monument de briques et de pierres, appartenant à la famille des châteaux Renaissance de la plaine garonnaise. Décor antiquisant avec colonnes cannelées, chapiteaux doriques, ioniques ou corinthiens, plaqué sur une structure de type féodal. La porte de 1550 s'ouvre sur un escalier à vis. La grande salle du premier étage, avec sa cheminée 16e siècle, est décorée de peintures murales. Une autre pièce présente un plafon peint du 17e siècle.
