Overlooking the Lot valley, the Montjézieu castle stands above the village of the same name, now part of La Canourgue. Originating from a medieval stronghold first recorded in the 12th century, it went through a turbulent history, passing into episcopal hands before being partly destroyed and rebuilt in the 16th century. Visitors can see a rectangular keep with its watch path, two adjoining residential wings, and a stair turret topped by a dovecote.
