What the French Ministry of Culture records

En 1560, une seigneurie de Ressouches est mentionnée. Charles d'Aragon, seigneur de Ressouches, fit construire son château dans la seconde moitié du 16e siècle, sur les fondations d'un bâtiment édifié au 13e siècle. L'édifice se compose d'un corps de logis à trois étages. Deux tours d'angle flanquent le bâtiment à l'est et à l'ouest. Au nord, une tour circulaire abrite l'escalier de pierre et se termine par des corbeaux qui, primitivement, supportaient un mâchicoulis destiné à la défense de la porte d'entrée. La façade sud est percée de quatre fenêtres à meneaux.
