Construit dans la seconde moitié du 18e siècle par l'oncle de Châteaubriand, l'édifice est une maison rurale de plan rectangulaire s'élevant sur trois niveaux. Calées par deux cheminées monumentales au départ des croupes de pignon, les façades sont de composition classique. A l'intérieur, la lisibilité de la distribution d'origine a été perturbée par les cloisonnements du 19e siècle. La chambre de l'écrivain y est conservée.
