Perched on a rocky headland opposite Cap Fréhel, Fort la Latte stands on a naturally defensive site cut off from the mainland by two chasms crossed by drawbridges. Built in the 14th century by the lords of Matignon and later altered under Louis XIV, it retains its keep, barbican, towers and chapel. The visit follows the successive defensive layout, from barbican to courtyard to seigneurial lodge, overlooking the Bay of Saint-Malo.
