The Château de Bienassis stands at Erquy behind its moat and crenellated pink granite wall, on land that already held a manor of the La Motte lords in the 12th century. The current building combines a medieval section with corner towers and a Renaissance wing added after the destruction wrought during the Wars of the League, rebuilt from 1620 onwards. Visitors can currently see the furnished ground floor rooms, the great hall, the guard room, a dining room with old porcelain, the kitchen and the chapel, along with the courtyard, the French garden and the park.
